چکیده
بررسی متون در حوزه ی سیستم های اطلاعاتی مدیریت (IS) موفق ، شواهد تجربی را ایجاد کرده و نشان می دهد که سرمایه گذاری تنها در IS و ابزارهای جدید مدیریت (NMT)، نتایج بهتری را در کسب و کار به همراه ندارد . مقاله حاضر با هدف کمک به توسعه دانش موجود در زمینه عوامل توضیحی با اجرای موفق IS، به طبقه بندی این عوامل از طریق تجزیه و تحلیل خوشه ای می پردازد و از نمونه ای از شرکت های اسپانیایی با توجه به ارزیابی مدیران مالی آنها (CFOs) از کیفیت این سیستم ها و کاربرد آنها برای اهداف استراتژیک استفاده می کند. این طبقه بندی برای پاسخ به سه سوال مفید است: آیا شرکت هایی که به سیستم های اطلاعاتی خود امتیاز بهتری می دهند، عملکرد خود را نیز بهبود می بخشند؟
چگونه کیفیت و استراتژی سیستم های اطلاعاتی، نتایج را تحت تاثیر قرار می دهد؟ آیا رابطه مثبتی بین استفاده از NMT ها و بهبود عملکردها وجود دارد؟ از طریق آزمون غیر پارامتری کروسکال والیس و حداقل مربعات جزئی (PLS) نتایج مدل به دست آمده و پرسش اول را تایید می کنند و نشان می دهند که کیفیت و استراتژی IS بر بهبود سودآوری شرکت ها تاثیر مثبتی دارد. رگرسیون منطقی نشان دهنده تعامل بین استفاده از NMT ها و رویکرد استراتژیک سیستم های اطلاعاتی با اثرات مثبت بر بهبود سودآوری می باشد. نتایج حاصل از این مطالعه دارای پیامدهای قابل توجه و با اهمیتی برای شرکت ها بوده و نشان می دهند که سرمایه گذاری در سیستم های اطلاعاتی و NMT ها باید با موارد صحیحی از استراتژی همراه شود.

Abstract

The literature review on the success ofmanagementinformation systems (IS) provides empirical evidence that mere investment in IS and New Management Tools (NMTs) does not guarantee better business results. Aiming to contribute to the knowledge of the factors explaining the success of IS implementation, this paper classifies them through cluster analysis, with a sample of Spanish companies according to the valuation given by their finance directors (CFOs) to the quality of such systems and their use for strategic purposes. This classification helps to answer three questions: do companies that better rate their IS improve their performance? How do IS quality and strategy affect results? Is there a positive relationship between the use of NMTs and improvement in performance? Through the non-parametric Kruskal–Wallis test and a partial least squares (PLS) model results are yielded that support the first question and show the positive effect of the IS quality and strategy on improving corporate profitability. Logistic regression showed an interaction between the use of NMTs and the IS strategic approach with positive effects on improving profitability. The results of this study have significant implications for companies, suggesting that investment in new IS and NMTs must be coupled with a clear sense of strategy.
