مقدمه

افزایش حجم شهرسازی نیازمندساخت خانه های ارزان قیمت تری برای قشر فقیر شهری می باشد. فلت های بدون آسانسور، تیپ های بدیهی از این قبیل خانه ها به ویژه در حواشی شهری به شمار می روند. تراکم نسبتاً بالاو هزینه های پائین تر ساخت و نگهداری،  فلت های بلند و مرتفع را ممتازترجلوه میدهند  . در مقایسه با تراس ارزان قیمت، که به مناطق زمینی با محیط های طبیعی زیاد دسترسی مستقیم دارد، فلت ها معمولاً برروی فضاهای سبز محدود ساخته می شوند.به علاوه، فضاهای مسکونی فلت های بدون آسانسور محدود می باشد زیرا آنها از طریق طراحی مبتنی بر استاندارد فضایی و کارایی و راندمان اقتصادی ظهور و رشد می کنند. این مسئله فضای باز قبلاً محدود نزدیک خانه ها و فضاهای گردش را به عنوان فضاهای اجتماعی حیاتی و بسیار مهم به ویژه برای کودکان قلمداد می کند. علاوه بر مدارس، مناطق مسکونی نزدیک فضاهای خانه، عرصه ای برای توسعه دانش و مهارتهای اجتماعی آنها می باشند  . پیکره بندیهای مختلف فلت ها، استطاعت عملکردی متفاوتی عرضه می کند. مقاله حاضر تاثیر این اختلافات برالگوی تخصیص فضای باز کودکان را کشف می کند.

۵٫ نتیجه گیری
فضای باز نزدیک خانه فلت های ارزان قیمت به عنوان یک عرصه فعالیت مهم برای کودکان عمل می کند. این فضاها درست در جلوی درب واحد، که معمولاً به خاطر مصارف اقتصادی به حداقل رسانده شده اند، محیط های اکولوژیکی واقعاً مهمی برای کودکان محسوب می شوند. بنابراین انتخاب پیکره بندیها نه تنها به هزینه توسعه بلکه به الگوی رفتارهای کودکان و تجربیات زندگی آنها اشاره می کند. پیکره بندیهای فیزیکی مختلف، امورو استطاعت های تابعی و عملکردی گوناگونی عرضه می کنند که منجر به الگوی مصرف متنوعی در فضاهای باز نزدیک خانه می گردند. اگرچه سه منطقه مسکونی (مجتمع های مسکونی) اختلافات معناداری از لحاظ تیپ های کلی و مقدار فعالیتها نشان نمی دهند، اما تحلیل های نزدیک تر و دقیق تر در ویژگیهای محیطی و آن فعالیتها، تغییرات معنادار و مهمی نشان می دهند که به اختلافات موجود در تاثیرات محیط فیزیکی اشاره می کنند.
فراهم نمودن زمین بازی فعالیتهای کودکان در محیط باز را الزاماً افزایش نمی دهد. به همین نحو کمبود چنین فضاهایی ، فعالیتها را کاهش نمی دهد. اما می تواند نیازهای آنها برای بازی کردن و اجتماعی شدن راتامین نماید که نکته ای برای تحقیق آتی می باشد. طبیعت اکتشافی کودکان آنها را تحریک به جستجو برای راهکارهای فضایی می کند. فضاهای بازو گردش حاشیه ای فراهم شده توسط طراحان در مجتمع های مسکونی ارزان قیمت، مکان های معناداری برای کودکان محسوب می شوند. پاسخ های آنها به محیط های خسته کننده، سازش های منطقی نه رفتار مبتنی بر اطلاعات اشتباه را نشان می دهد(۱۹۷۶). در نتیجه فاکتور پیشرفت رشدی و اکتشاف اجتماعی کودکان بیشتر از حد انتظار به خانه و منزل نزدیک تر می باشد. در موارد منابع محدود در پروژه های فلت های ارزان قیمت، پیکره بندی ساختمان، اختلافاتی ایجاد می کند.

Introduction

Increased urbanization demands more low cost housings to cater for the urban poor. Walk up flats areinevitable types of such housing particularly in urban fringes. Relatively high density and lower costs ofconstruction and maintenance make them more preferred to high rise flats (Long, 2007; Tan, 1979). Incontrast to low cost terrace, which has direct access to ground areas with ample natural settings, flats are usually built on constraint land area and limited green spaces. Moreover, dwelling spaces of walk up flatsare limited as they evolve through design that is based on spatial standard and economic efficiency. Thisinevitably renders the already limited outdoor near the homes areas and circulation spaces as vital andinevitable social spaces particularly for children. Besides schools, residential near home spaces are arenasfor developing their knowledge and social skills (van Vliet, 1983). Different flats configurations wouldoffer different functional affordances. This paper explores how these differences affect the pattern ofchildren appropriation of the outdoor space.2. Literature Review2.1. Making a home in the housing outdoor spaceLiving in low cost flats constrains children’s growing up needs and experiences. Any limited spacesavailable are usually appropriated to make them congruent to their needs (Kaplan, 1983). A wealth of pastliterature has dealt with children outdoor activities as part of their growing up process (Evans, 2006).Built environment plays major role in the types of activities and the affordances of suitable spaces forthose activities. While neighborhood planning includes guidelines for provision of playground and openspace, researches have repeatedly shown that open spaces are usually minimally used and contribute littleto the social interaction process necessary (T. Abu-Ghazzeh, 1999). This is partly due to the inconvenientlocations away from the parental surveillance. In turn, the near home spaces replace the playground andopen space as the main social and play space for the children. Children prefer natural outdoor settings for their wide potentials for motor and social play (Evans,2006). Such natural environment also affords greater independence and mobility (Kyttä, ۲۰۰۴). In naturalenvironment the type of play accessible is also more complex (Kirkby, 1989). In urban low cost flatsenvironment, such opportunities to be in natural setting are rare. The economic needs for spaceoptimization limit the provisions such settings near the homes (Tan, 1979). How the children tolerate thelack of such setting in urban low cost housing remains uncertain. Children play and socialize more innatural surrounding than in a more barren environment (Taylor, Wiley, Kuo, & Sullivan, 1998) commonin low cost flats. This outdoor life experience is vital for children. The longer the outdoor experience thechildren have, the higher benefits of developmental learning they encounter (Hattie, Marsh, Neill, &Richards, 1997). How different configurations of housing afford this ability in the low cost housingoutdoor is the main question of the paper.Apparently, housing outdoor spaces are important environment for children developmental processdepending upon the affordances of appropriate the spaces for play and socialization. Constraint of spaceparticularly in low cost housing would disrupt such process. Children need to adapt to the limited spacesgoverned by low cost flats configurations. Thus, despite the limited options and alternative, the impacts oflayout configurations should be understood so that opportunities for children’s developmental processes,including social interaction, are not hindered.2.2. Housing Physical environment and ChildrenStudies on impacts of physical environment on children social interactions reveal mixed evidence (vanVliet, 1983). High rise buildings were found to relate to higher incidence of children problematicbehaviors (Saegert, 1982). Such housing is also associated with weaker school academic performance,even though the impacts depends upon their age groups (Oda, Taniguchi, Wen, & Higurashi, 1989).Density and housing population too relate to child behaviors. Housing area with higher proportion ofmulti-family housing was found to relate to higher rate of juvenile delinquency (Gillis, 1977).
